Reasons for using scaffolding in your work

Common hazards for workers using scaffolding
1. Scaffolding collapse

2. Overloading Placement of materials or objects on scaffolding that are more than necessary or that are too heavy can cause the scaffolding to collapse and pose a risk to workers working on it.

3. The materials used are not complete. Using low-quality or unsuitable materials, such as bent steel, rust, or weak materials, can damage the scaffolding.

4. Incorrect assembly or installation. Incorrect assembly or installation of scaffolding, or the use of incomplete components, may be a factor causing a risk.

5. The scaffolding base is not strong. Placing scaffolding on soft ground, wood chips or weak materials may cause the scaffolding to be unstable and pose a risk to workers.

6. Improper working methods: Using scaffolding incorrectly can cause the scaffolding to collapse and pose a risk to workers.

7. Risk from improper operation Improper operation can create risks, such as pouring concrete without considering the structure and weight bearing, which can damage the scaffolding.

Factors that cause workers to fall from scaffolding It’s not just because of the collapse. There are many causes that cause this incident, such as:

1. Worker's negligence: Workers may fall from scaffolding due to negligence by accidentally tripping over a pile of materials on the scaffolding floor and causing them to fall.

2. While walking, workers may take the wrong step because they do not look at the walkway on the scaffolding, causing a fall.

3. Poor health: The worker's health may be poor, such as fainting or feeling dizzy, which increases the chance of falling from the scaffolding.

4. Weather. Rapidly changing weather conditions, such as strong winds or sudden rain, can cause workers to fall from the scaffolding.
